Bloody Hell. This is good stuff. Otherworldly drones on an epic stereo scale, with some truly beautiful moments of Satie-esque piano sequences. I love the percussion in 'Entering the Realm of Dis Pater' - as if the drum is broadcasting from another galaxy. Some soaring Blade Runner synth swells throughout also, but done in such a way that this is a very unique album with influences but ultimately this is 'Idylls' own unique sound and experience. Look forward to checking more out. vuhvoidloves

Despite the creepy album art and track titles, I find this to be a very peaceful and relaxing release. It gives me a sense of movement and energy, but also a feeling of inner contemplation--as if the knight were lying in bed and meditating on his many journeys, reliving them in his mind during the darker hours. If nostalgia for an age where creatures of myth walked together with the children of men had a soundtrack, this album would be it. Also, a touching reminder that we can forego wealth and power for wilderness and freedom, if we so choose. emanuele127
